Tenor Schoen Turbo Diddley guitar made for singer songwriter Jeff Larson, and used on his 2012 CD "The World Over". Headstock photo shows the ebonized walnut peghead with herringbone detail, antique skeleton keys, and the Schoen logo, designed in Denmark. The body is made from a recycled vintage mahogany cigar box, inlaid with koa. The koa was originally part of the trim at the chapel of the Maryknoll school on Punahou Street in Honolulu; it is very subtle in its complexity and ties the mahogany and walnut elements together perfectly. The neck is of fine Northern Iowa black walnut, with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. The coverplate is of hammered antiqued steel with copper rivets, and the tailpiece in brass. The spun cone is a John Quarterman, with a maple bridge and saddle made from wood from an 1800's factory floor from Indiana. Soulful and expressive in CGDA tuning. 2008
